Susie Clinton

Mrs. Susie Clinton was born in Panther Burn, Mississippi to Arthur Love and Claudie Norwood on June 25, 1932. Susie and her siblings attended the Panther Burn Consolidated School System.

In 1946, Susie married Tyree Johnson and out of this union was born Arthur, and LeBertha. After that, Susie was united with Jimmie Akron, and from this union Leola was born. After that, Susie was united with Samuel Shorter, and out of this union came Ossie, Alex, Classie, Madeline, Jacqueline, Arnold, and Sandra.

In 1956, they all moved to Youngstown, Ohio where the family lived until in 1965, when they moved to Cleveland, Ohio. Susie worked in the Service Industry as a housekeeper, and in Transportation as a school bus driver.

After living in Cleveland for ten years, Susie met Johnny. In 1977, Susie married Johnny R. Clinton, who helped her raise her children and grandchildren, along with Johnny's son, Tony.

Because Susie loved to work with children, even as she raised and cared for her own, she was a person who gravitated to helping others because of her love for people. No matter who, Susie never met anyone that didn't love her because she was such a loving person. She loved to cook and would feed any and everyone, she never turned anyone away.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur, and Claudie Love; husband, Johnny Clinton; eight siblings, Edna, Roxy, L.B., Sadie, Dorothy, Freddie, Edith, and Jennie V.; three children, Arthur Love (Mae Ella), , Leola Johnson, and Jacqueline Rumfelt (Bobby).

Susie leaves to cherish her memory, four siblings, Flora Williams of Cleveland, Ohio, Mary L. Warfield of Hollandale, Mississippi, Jimmie L. Norwood (Cynthia), and Bummiestine Petty, both of Chicago, Illinois.
