Rev. James W. Bryant Sr was born on June 29, 1931, in Jeannette, PA to Georgia and James Lee Bryant.
Rev. Bryant grew up in a small town and went to Jeanette high school where he graduated and join the army. He was the first black captain out of his town and went to Korea.
Rev. Bryant attended Lincoln University where he graduated with a BA in political science and join the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. He also attended Cleveland Marshall Law School and obtained his law degree.
Rev. Bryant achieved so many accomplishments such as Deputy Director of the NAACP Cleveland Branch, Director of human resources for Erie County and a host of other achievements. Most people knew him as Judge Larry A. Jones Head Bailiff, from where he retired.
Rev. Bryant loved God and the community, he always said he had to do God's work.
He leaves to mourn his son, James W. Bryant Jr; three grandsons, Tyree Bryant, Aaron Jr, and Sincere Williams; two granddaughters, Aviona Paige, and Dynasty Love; one niece, Elizabeth Bryant; and a host of friends and colleagues who loved him very much.
