Petrie O. James

Petrie O. James was born September 11, 1967, in Clarksdale, Mississippi to the late Yvonne James (Williams) and Miton James. Pete was one of six siblings.

Pete moved to Cleveland, Ohio as an infant and was raised by his cherishes grandmother, the late Lillie Mae Cummings. He was educated in the Cleveland Public School System; he also joined the Navy at 18 years of age.

Pete had a larger than life personality, he loved to joke and laugh. Pete loved and adored his grandchildren, he brought them toys and candy whenever he saw them. Pete love to travel and explore the country, his hobbies included, watching sports, and any chance he could he wanted to light up the grill, and cook ribs. He was also excellent in math. He unexpectedly departed this life on November 30, 2021.

Pete was preceded in death by his mother, Yvonne; grandmother, Lillie Mae; grandfather, William Wright; brother, Marcus Jones, sister, Sheba Griffin; and aunt, Margaret Jean Buckhalter.

Pete leaves to cherished memories, five children, TiAndra James, Derion James, Deyvohn James, Xiante James, and Kyyah James; father, Milton James (Dorothy); sister, Latonya James; brothers, Milton Jr, and Ahmad James; five grandchildren, A'niyah, Dayshon, Aaliyah, Tiana, and Alonci; aunts, Toni Wright, and Deborah Maddox (John), along with a host of family and friends.
