Pauline Miah Obituary

Pauline Ruth Stevens Miah, was born August 14, 1930, to the late Willie, and Mattie Stevens in Cleveland Ohio. She was one of thirteen children.

Pauline was educated in the Cleveland School System. She gave her life to Christ at a young age. In her later years, she attended the Cleveland Church of Christ, under the leadership of Bishop James Haughton, Sr.

Pauline was married to Aflak Miah in the early 1950's, and six children were born, Kalick, Tanya, Michael, Jerry, Malik, and April. Pauline worked at Nevels Department Store and the Cleaning Material Company in housekeeping.

Pauline was very talented, in her younger and later years, she played the piano, made Christmas decorations, and thought the Nativity Play to her younger siblings. As she got older she continued her talent with her children and grandchildren along with playing the harmonica, pulling taffy, and making rice crispy treats. She also like to hang wallpaper and make flower arrangements.

Pauline was very well loved, she took care of so many relatives, friends, kids, and neighbors. She is well known for playing the harmonica for everyone's birthday, passing out double mint gum, cookies and suckers, To anyone she came in contact with. Pauline loved music, her favorite songs were, My Girl, Kiss & Say Goodbye, and Oh Come and Go With Me.

Pauline had so many favorite sayings, her favorite was, "How much do you love me?", so we could answer, "A Bushel and a Peck and a Hug Around the Neck." Her second was, "you can get another daddy, but you will never get another mother"...that is so true, she will surely be missed.

Pauline passed away peacefully at home at 6:40 AM on August 7, 2021. She was preceded in death By her mother, father, husband, two sisters, and one brother.

Family left to cherish her memory are, Kalick (Casey), Tanya, Michael, Roflick (Elenor), Malick (Sandra), April (Terry); one brother, Victor Stevens; one sister, Reene Tucker, and a host of grand, great, and great-great grand children; nieces, nephews, and friends.
