Patricia Dent-Longino Obituary

I, Patricia Marlene Dent-Longino was born on April 13, 1948, and departed life on March 5, 2022. Pat was born the oldest of three children born to Effie Smith-Scott. Dr. Henry James Hardy who preceded me in death and surviving sister Carolyn Ruth (babe Ruth). My baby has been my rock; the two of us have been inseparable and I can't thank her enough for all the love and support she has given me.
ln 1955 because of illness our mother suffered we went to live with Ma Dear where we remained until we were grown.

I accepted the Lord as my personal savior and was baptized in April 1959 at Sardis Baptist Church.

In 1968 I worked at Ohio Bell. I left there and went on to a successful career at University Hospitals as a medical coder. I worked there for 41 years and retired in May of 2010. I graduated from John Hay High in 1967, attended Community College and took a correspondence course for medical records.

In March of 2000 I married the love of my life, Claude (Bunky). He and I spent a lifetime chasing one another. Our love relationship started when we were teenagers and has lasted. From this union I obtained a son Anthony Longino Thomas and a step- daughter Donetha Calloway.

I really enjoyed my life. I loved reading, traveling, listening to music, gambling, working in the yard and socializing with friends. I tried to do the best I could sometimes I succeeded, but sometimes I failed, but I always tried to learn from every situation. If you smoke quit!

I have had the love and support of many lifelong friends. How precious you all have been to me. Knowing and loving each of you is the real success story of my life.
I leave to mourn and cherish Claude (Bunky) husband, Carolyn Cartwright sister (Sherman) nephew Sherman Q. Cartwright (my boy), son Anthony Longino Thomas (Bridgett), stepdaughter Donetha Calloway, sisters in-laws Denise, Nicole (Reggie) and Kim. Brother-in-laws Darryl (Jeannie) and Kevin (Melonie). Grandchildren, Terrance (Selina), Cory (Pat) and Darryan and many special friends, nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
