Millard was a legend in the bricklaying industry. He began laying bricks after being discharged from the military in 1951 until 2013. Millard worked hard to provide for his family and others.
Millard moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1953, where his creations began. He worked for 70 years. You can go from the east side to west side and see all of his work. Millard had a brilliant mind, he could build without a blueprint, he could do the math in his head, if he could see it in his mind, he could build it.
Millard was comical and fun to be around. He went to be with his heavenly father on May 28, 2020. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
Born in Guntersville, Alabama, on February 18, 1930, to Billy and Ester Williams. He had two siblings, Calvin Williams, and Mary Louise Barnes (Douglas).
Millard was educated at Lakeview High School in Guntersville, he later joined the US Army in 1948 and served in the Korean War, being Honorably Discharged in 1951.
Millard married Margaret Anderson in 1952 and from union nine children were born, Gloria, Pandora Pace (Orlando), Janice, Edith (Douglas) Wanda (deceased), Millard Jr, Rodney, Antwan, Brian (deceased), and Linda Faye.
Millard married Betty Beverly in 1982, from that union, Darren J. Williams (Stephanie) was born, and Darrell (step-son).
Millard’s legacy leaves 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great grandchild and two step-grandchildren.
