Obituary

Mary E. Bush was born July 8, 1947, in Whitehall Alabama to the late McKinley Tarrance Sr. and Katie Mae Mealing.

She professed her faith in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Temple Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Eugene W. Ward Sr. Mary later joined New Fellowship Baptist Church, under the late Rev. Orlando Mays. She worked faithfully in many departments of the church. Mary was an Usher, she worked in the kitchen, as the Pastor's aid, church nurse, and in the choir. She loved to sing praises to the Lord. Mary was a faithful member at New Fellowship Baptist church, until God called her home to Glory.

Mary was also an Eastern Stars member for over 30 years. She was the associate of Queen and elevated to Dorothy 127. Mary became the Grand Queen Bethsheba.

She attended the Cleveland Metropolitan Schools, where she completed her education and graduated from East Technical High School. After high school she attended Cuyahoga Community College.

Mary was united in Holy Matrimony to Jimmy R. Bush and to this union there were three children, Jerome Sr., Veronica, and Yulonda.

Mary had many hobbies; she played the Tuba in High school. Mary played for a Bowling League as a young adult for many years. She also was a member of ''The Foxy Ladies" which turned into "The Sophusticated Ladies". Mary was a Booster Club member for Shaw High school for many years, where she traveled with the Shaw Marching Band as they traveled to perform at various locations.

Mary worked for Metro Health System for several years. She later worked for University Hospitals for over 40 years, where she retired in 2008.

God opened his arms and called his child Mary home, on April 3, 2023, at 3:00 pm, where she was surrounded by many family members.

Mary was preceded in death by many loved ones, her husband, Jimmy R. Bush; parents, McKinley Sr, and Katie Mae Tarrance; Her grandmother, Virginia Tarrance; two uncles, Frank Tarrance, and James Tarrance; three aunties, Nell Mann, Sofronia McCall and Monica Arrington; two brothers, Benjamin, and McKinley Jr; and one grandchild, Antonio Tarrance.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories, her three children, Jerome Sr. (Valencia), Veronica, and Yulonda (Khalil); one sister, Ruby Tarrance; one brother, Clifton Tarrance (Gail); one sister-in-law, Shirley Marie Jordan; 13 grandchildren, Yasminde, Jerome Jr (Sierra), Jaquita, Demar, Mark, Anisha, Chauncey, De'vaughn (India), Christopher, De'Juan (Tyra) Jasmine, Taylor, and Delon; 21 great grandchildren; one auntie, Sarah Jackson from Cleveland, Ohio; one uncle, Roosevelt Tarrance from Montgomery, Alabama; her extend family, Mitchell Lamar Harris, Julia Williams, Mitchell Harris, and Rashauna Williams; one goddaughter, Tracey Horton; one godson, Pastor Dontez D. Smith; with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, her New Fellowship family, and her Eastern Stars family.
