Madeline Wray

Madeline Dillard Wray, age 90, was born February 3, 1931 in Maitland, West Virginia. She was one of four children born to the late Leslie William Dillard, and Ruby (White) Dillard.

Madeline was a resident of Welch, West Virginia for most of her life, she worked as an Adult Care aide, moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1986. She loved Word Search puzzles, crocheting, and embroidering. She occasionally read mystery novels.

In addition to her parents, Madeline was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter (Thelma), a sister ( Evelyn Harris), a brother, (Leslie Jr), The last surviving member of her family (the youngest), John Edward Dillard, (Arnetha,) resides in New Jersey. He was not able to attend due to failing heath.

Madeline peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, the birth date of her oldest son.

Ms. Wray will be lovingly remembered as a devoted, caring mother to her six children: Jacqueline Welch (Ralph), Cleveland; Alphonso Wray( Rhonda) of Welch, West Virginia; Shelia Hall (Eric), of Cleveland; Barbara Mask (husband Trezzvant deceased) of Welch, West Virginia; Ditricia Hall (Ronnie) of Cleveland; Michael Wray (Elaine) of Moundsville, West Virginia, and her grandson Jerry, who lived with her in West Virginia for a number of years.

Madeline has 13 grandchildren (one deceased), Terrance Norfleet; great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. She also has one surviving uncle (brother of her father), Norman Dillard; living in North Carolina.
Her beautiful smile will be missed. LOVE YOU MOM
