Linda Leanora Brown was born March 19, 1937 in Roehampton—St. James Jamaica to her loving parents Catherine Rhodes and Robert Crann.
Linda gained her wings Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Hospice of Western Reserve. She was one of seven children giving her 2 brothers and 4 sisters, who preceded her in death. She attended Roehampton All Age School of Jamaica, West Indies and Catering School in Kingston, Jamaica.
Linda came to Ohio in 1968 and began her career in child care and housekeeping with a family in Shaker Heights, where she stayed for one year. She later was employed by Metro Health Hospitals for a number of years, then later retired from Manor Care Nursing Home where she worked as a housekeeper. Linda also found her church home the year she arrived here with Bethany Baptist Church of Cleveland where she attended until she fell ill. She also served on the usher board.
Linda married her husband Reuchlin Brown on March 7, 1969. They had two sons, William Grey (Paulette) and Terron E. Brown Sr.
Linda was a loving, caring, strong, happy, feisty, God fearing woman that was willing to do anything for anyone. She loved volunteering, cooking, reading the newspaper, traveling and taking care of others; especially her grandchildren. Linda did not miss a beat, she always loved dancing to her island music. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Linda leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband Reuchlin, best friends Hyacinth Marson & Pauline Holmes; two sons William & Terron; 10 step children, and host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, Godchildren, nieces, nephews & friends in England, Canada, USA and Jamaica.
