L.B. Warren Obituary

L.B. Warren was born on July 17, 1926, in Sunflower, Mississippi, to the late Johnnie Allen Warren Sr, and Julia Mae Warren. L.B. was the fourth of seven children.

L.B. served in the Navy during World War II, on the Destroyer, The USS Clarence K. Bronson of which he would proudly show his children a picture of this ship. He received an Honorable Discharge from the Navy.

L.B. married Lizzie M. Stewart March 29, 1948 and they moved to Cleveland, Ohio. from this union came five children. Anita, Sylvester, Howard, Marshall, and David.

L.B. worked at Contrail Railroad and retired after 45 years.

L.B. married Azel Johnson in 1976 until her death. there was one son from this union, Derrick Johnson.

L.B. Confessed Christ at an early age, sometime during his adult years, he joined the Nation of Islam, under the messenger Elijah Mohammad. He was a very active member until he was no longer able to attend meetings.

L.B. met Mattie Smith and they shared a special loving life together for over 30 years. They enjoyed being together, and taking care of each other.

L.B. departed this life on September 5, 2021 at the age of 95 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Ola, Nathaniel, Johnnie A. Warren II, Mattie, Sylvester, and Marion.

L.B. leaves to cherish his memories his life partner, Mattie Smith; children, Anita, Sylvester, Howard, Marshall, and David Warren, and Derrick Johnson; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
