Joan Pride was born November 4, 1956 in Marietta, GA to Joe Pride II and Carolyn Shannell who both preceded her in death.
As one of 14 children, Joan enjoyed spending time with her family from a young age. In 1976, Joan moved to Cleveland, OH where she ultimately became a mother to 3 children, Vanetta, Veonta and Vidal.
Joan was a loving, fun and supportive mother to her children. Joan was also a grandmother, which was her favorite role of all, to Amari, Isaac and Leo. Joan passed away on May 3, 2021 and leaves a host of siblings, nieces and nephews that will forever cherish her memory.
At the request of Joan, the family will not hold a funeral service. Her hope is that you all remember her fondly and reflect on the time that you spent together
