Effie Rucker Obituary

Effie Rucker was born on July 28, 1932, in Louisville Kentucky to the late Leonard and Eula McLwain. Effie was the second oldest of two in which the oldest preceded her in death. Effie departed this life on November 10, 2020, at Grand Pointe Nursing Facility.

Effie was united in holy matrimony to the late Richard Rucker, Jr. on November 24, 1952. She had four children, the late Princeton Rucker, Regina Rucker-George, Javonda Marie Rucker, and Alphonzo Rucker.

Effie loved her family, she loved family functions, she enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing cards, and playing bingo. Everyone loved her, she would help anyone who needed it, she raised children into mothers. Effie was very strong, even until the end of her precious life. She dedicated her life to God at an early age, she was a member of First Commandment Church.

Effie leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Regina Rucker-George, Javonda Marie Rucker, and Alphonzo Rucker (Dena); two god-daughters, Mary Jackson, and Amy Lesley; grandchildren, Anglecia, Bill, Stephaine, Princeslah, Baronda, Lanise, Shawntae, Deante, Altino, Recardo, and Ramone; a host of great grand children, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many many friends.
