Charles Edward Davis

CHARLES E. DAVIS was born on August 1, 1945, to Willie W. Davis and Mary Jo Davis in Birmingham, AL.

Charles graduated from East Technical High School in Cleveland, OH where he lettered in Track and Field in 1963. Immediately after graduation he entered the US Army and was a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division until 1966. He received a Bronze Metal for his service.

He married Lee V. Marshall on June 30, 1984 and relocated to Miami, FL. The family joined St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Miami, FL where Charles served faithfully as a Deacon from 1992 until his passing.

Charles was proceeded in death by his parents and brother Jeffrey C. Jollar.

Charles shall remain in the cherished memories of his wife Lee V. Davis of 36 years and four children; Sadahlia Gill of Columbia, SC; Tina Bailey and Antoinette Gill of Miami, FL and Darrel E. Davis of Cleveland, OH. Two brothers; Morris E. Davis and Gerald H. Jollar and two sisters; Johnita Turner (Larry) and Angella Brown of Cleveland, OH. 24 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
