Arthur Lee Shareef

Arthur Lee Jr. "Artie" was born on March 8th, 1974 at Martin Medical in Newark New Jersey to Arthur Lee Jones and Dethena Hall.

Artie was the third oldest of nine. Artie grew up in East Cleveland Ohio and attended Shaw High School and received his GED later. In 2018 Artie graduated from Edwin’s Leadership and Restaurant Institute in Culinary Arts and Hospitality.

Artie found his passion for cooking late in life and had planned on using his culinary skills by opening up his own restaurant. Artie also worked at the family business Restorative Painting and Decorative by Shareef with his father and nephew. Artie had the most infectious laugh and would joke with everyone he loved. Artie was full of energy and had a giving spirit. Artie was a prankster and always livened the situations or circumstances. Artie had the biggest heart and would do anything for his loved ones. Artie was also known affectionately as "Mookie”.

Artie pride himself in being a loyal person. Artie is survived by his parents, Arthur Lee Jones (father) and Dethena Hall (mother). Artie was the father of his only son, Artaevion Le’ Braylon Shareef (Da’ Shena); eight siblings, Kenneth, Tanana, Kevin, Arthena, Kenyon (Alexandra), Aneesah, Kenisha (Tyrone), and Aakhira (Hudhaifah), 21 nieces and nephews, and two great-nieces.
