Yvette King

Yvette King was born on May 3, 1962, in Cleveland, Ohio to the Late Ben Dowdell and Delores Dowdell. Yvette was the youngest child of seven children and loved her family. She was very popular because of her sweet personality and positive attitude. She tended to uplift everyone she met.

Yvette grew up on the West side of Cleveland where she attended Lincoln West High School. She then furthered her education at Cuyahoga Community College where she pursued and received an Associates of Arts Degree. She also attended Cleveland State University.

Yvette worked as a Case Manager at Metro Health Hospital in the Healthy Families Healthy Start Department. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching her favorite tv show Sistas, talking on the telephone, and shopping with her niece Gloria.

In 1982 Yvette met Dennis King and they were later married in 1989 and they remained together until she transitioned and went to live in a better place with God on October 6, 2023.

Yvette leaves to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy of love, her husband Dennis King, Daughter LeShawn Davis, Grandson, DeShawn Davis (deceased), Great Grandchildren: Dayton Davis and Har'moni Davis Gwinn, Siblings: Gloria Dowdell (deceased), Mary Cooks (deceased), Delores Saunders, Benjamin Dowell, Joe Dowdell, Lavanne Branham, Nadine Dowdell (deceased) and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.
