Willie George Baker, (known to most as just George/"Bam") was the oldest of five siblings, born to Willie Mae and George Baker on November 5, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio. Because George was the oldest and both parents were working, he was often left to the task of taking care of his younger siblings. He later earned an associate's degree in general studies, also obtaining his certification in Brick Masonry. Wille George later had a son, George W. Baker.
