Vivian Gail Robinson Collins was born on March 26, 1956, in Water Valley, Mississippi, to the late Deryl Mae Haywood Robinson and John Henry. She later moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where she received her education through the Cleveland Public School System and attended Wilson Junior High School. Vivian further developed her skills in food service and child development, areas that reflected her natural ability to care for and serve others.

Throughout her life, Vivian held many positions, but her greatest calling was serving as a licensed childcare provider for many years. She lovingly cared for countless children, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of families throughout her community.

At an early age, Vivian accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio. Later, she united with New Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she continued her walk of faith.

In 1972, Vivian married her first love and later she welcomed five children. Family was the center of her world, and she dedicated her life to nurturing, supporting, and loving those around her.

Vivian was gifted in many ways. She had a passion for cooking, sewing, and creating beauty where others saw none. Whether it was restoring old items, crafting something unique, or preparing a meal filled with love, she had a remarkable ability to bring things back to life. She was known as an excellent cook whose meals brought family and friends together.

Her favorite pastimes included shopping, playing cards, going to the casino, dancing to the music of Marvin Gaye, and spending time with those she loved. Vivian never met a stranger and was one of the easiest people to talk to. She loved conversation and had a way of making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and understood.

Vivian possessed a heart of gold and a spirit of generosity that knew no limits. If someone was in need, she gave freely often offering whatever she had, even the shirt off her back. Her kindness, compassion, and selflessness touched countless lives and will forever be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Above all, Vivian cherished her family and friends. Her love, wisdom, laughter, and unwavering support created a legacy that will continue to live on for generations to come. Vivian "Gail" Robinson Collins was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Deryl Mae Robinson and John Henry her cherished son, Donnell "Poppy" Collins her grandsons, Danny and Daishon; her brother, William "Earl" her sisters, Brenda "Kay" and Debra "Renee" as well as four aunts and four uncles.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving children: Darryl Collins, Sharhonda "Polly" Collins, Scherrie "Nickey" Collins, and Le'John "Butch" Gale. She also leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her 28 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

Gail is further survived by her devoted sister, Gloria "Dobie," and her brother, Kenneth (Vanessa), along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, dear friends, bonus children, and loved ones whose lives were forever touched by her love, kindness, wisdom, and generosity.

Though her presence will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Vivian "Gail" Robinson Collins leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, compassion, and unconditional love that will never be forgotten.
