Terri Renee Burrell was born on June 1, 1967, in Cleveland, Ohio, to William M. Ratchford Sr Serverna Ray Burrell and (stepfather, Max Alford).

The life of Terri is marked by an enduring imprint on the hearts of those she served and loved. Her presence was a gift-steady, compassionate, joyful, and unforgettable.

After graduating from high school, Terri continued her education at Southern Ohio College, where she cultivated and refined a gift already placed inside her by God-the ability to care deeply and skillfully for those who needed medical support, advocacy, and compassion. She understood early that her hands were meant to serve and her heart was meant to uplift.

For more than 30 years, Terri gave her all to caring for others. Through her work at Broadway Care, Eliza Bryant, and MIDA Superior Academy, she poured every fiber of her being into her patients and her daycare babies. She ensured none of the people in her care ever felt alone, unseen, or forgotten. What began as an occupation became her ministry. She embraced "the least of these" with dignity and tenderness, often welcoming those she cared for into the extended circle of her own family. To Terri, caregiving was not just a responsibility-it was love in action.

During a season of life, Terri shared a relationship with Michael Hutchins that produced three precious blessings. She leaves to cherish her children, Michele (Mario), David, and John (Kiarah). She also extended her love to her stepchildren, Ivory, Natasha, Michaellynn, Luverda, Charlie, Peter, Leslie Roosevelt, Darwin, Christopher, Michael, and Alexander, and special child Anthony; two special grandchildren, Maurice and Mariah; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She also leaves behind her siblings, Robin Monique Burrell (Charlotte, NC), Bonnie Hansard (Melvin), Treesha, Treesha, and Myesha Ratchford (Buffalo, NY); one loving brother, William M. Ratchford Jr.; and a special sister, Djuana Battle. Her aunts and uncles include Carolyn Moss (Atlanta, GA), Charlene Burrell (Cleveland, OH), and David Burroughs (Venice, FL). Her forever best friends, Deborah Gray, Virginia Forte (deceased), James Irby, and Michael Hutchins, the father of her children. They will all, always hold a special place in her story.

Terri was preceded in death by her father, William Maurice Ratchford Sr.; her grandmothers, Virgie Mae Burrell and Evangelist Penny S. Ratchford-Burroughs; her aunts, Rosetta M. Green, Mishael S. Burroughs, and Vernaine Williams; and her cousin, Carolyn Moss, along with stepchildren Roosevelt, Leslie, and Michael, and other family and friends.
