Terence Craig Wilson, born November 2, 1965, to Carolyn and James Wilson (deceased). Terry was a joyful child, weighing eight pounds at birth and bringing endless happiness to his family. His mother fondly remembers his small cry, a sound she can still recall to this day. Terry was surrounded by love from an early age, with his sister, Renee, teaching him baby chatter, and his Uncle Kenny and Aunt Andrea playing an important role in his early life. A special bond grew between Terry and his cousin Michael, who was born just four months later into the same household, creating a brother-like connection that lasted throughout their lives. They often dressed the same and even shared the same love for white high-top walking shoes, which Terry lovingly called "Stacy's" after Stacy Adams.
As a child, Terry was extremely bright, with an early IQ test revealing that traditional classroom work bored him. His true joy came from the love of his family, especially his grandmother's home-cooked meals and the pancakes (referred to as "Panny Cakes") made by Nee-Nee, who was only about 12 years old at the time. Terry's gentle and generous nature shone through in his willingness to share his belongings and his love for those around him. He was particularly close to his mother and, at 16, saved his allowance to buy her a coat that she had admired. Gifting his mother on her birthday, Mother's Day, and Valentine's Day was a priority for Terry throughout his life.
Terry enjoyed a variety of activities as a young boy, including Boy Scouts, going to Catholic church with his friends, shooting pool, playing games at the Salvation Army, and taking trips to Geauga Lake. He also cherished spending time with his grandmother while his mother worked. However, when the family moved from Cleveland to Lorain, Terry initially struggled with the change. But, through faith and perseverance, he overcame these challenges, finding peace and strength through the Lord.
Terry was a proud father to two children, Marcus and Ethan. His family meant everything to him, and he leaves behind a large and loving family. Terry is survived by his mother, Carolyn Ray, his stepfather, Collier Ray, and siblings: sisters Renee Benjamin (Valentine), Sonja Wilson, and Jennifer Robinson (Arthur), as well as step-sister Lisa Ray. He is also survived by brothers Charles Wilson, Martez Walker (Nichole), Angelo Dixon, and step-brothers Jomo Hill-Ray and Jamil Hill-Ray (Khalia). Terry also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom adored him. A special mention goes to his cousin, Michael Thomas, who was devoted to Terry and loved him dearly, always by his side until the very end.
Terry is also remembered by ten nieces and seven nephews, including his nieces Cierra (Ceez) McNickles and Ashley Green-Swoope , who stood by him through thick and thin. Terry's nieces and nephews were there for him, ready to provide a "gappa" when he asked. His family will forever cherish the love and memories he shared with them.
Terry's legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is at peace with the Lord.
