Teia Maria Murphy, born on November 9, 1959, transitioned peacefully from this life on July 25, 2026. A devoted daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother, she embraced her family and friends with boundless love and warmth. Teia will be deeply missed by her son, Rashawn (Chelsey) Murphy, her daughter, Chamika (Michael) Ross, her father, Alex Tolliver, and her siblings, Bonnie (Milton) Franklin, Kevin Tolliver, and Chris Tolliver.

Teia's legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Preston, Ian, Brooklyn, Haylee, and Mahzi, who brought immense joy to her life. Her spirit and kindness touched the hearts of many, leaving behind a radiance that will never be forgotten.

Teia was preceded in death by her Mother: Janice Murphy.

Teia was the life of the party, bringing laughter, joy, and light wherever she went. She cherished every moment spent with her family and friends and loved being surrounded by the people she cared about. She also shared a special bond with her granddog, Missy, who brought her endless love and companionship. Teia had a caring and selfless heart, always finding happiness in helping others and seeing them smile. She devoted herself to caring for those around her, often putting the needs of others before her own, and her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
