Ruth E. Frazier

November 27, 1933 — February 4, 2026

Ruth Lee Edna Frazier was born on November 27, 1933 in Birmingham Alabama to the proud parents of Eddie and Willie Mae Garrett, both of whom preceded her in death. Ruth was one of three children that the Lord blessed with unique gospel music talent. In 1935 Eddie and Willie Mae Garrett moved their family to Cleveland, Ohio, a city and state that was blessed by the gospel music talent of Ruth and her sister Lillie Mae Wynn. Ruth accepted Jesus Christ at a young age and continued to serve Jesus Christ with unconditional love and devotion. She was baptized by the late Hon. Pastor B.T. Birmingham at Second Metropolitan Baptist Church.

Ruth attended the Cleveland Public School where she graduated with honors. After her completion of school, Ruth became a nurse and she was engaged to and married Mr. Charles Clifford Bowling who preceded her in death. Ruth had 6 sons and 1 daughter with Charles Bowling, Charles who is deceased, Johnny, Kenneth who is deceased, Clifton, Valerie, William, and David.

In later years Ruth remarried and was united in marriage to the Hon. Pastor Water Frazier who preceded her in death. Sadly to say but Ruth has lost both parent and sister and only brother who went home to be with the Lord. Ruth was a charitable person, she was the rock and anchor of her family.

On February 4th, 2026 at her home amongst her family Ruth went to her heavenly home to sing with the Angels.

She leaves in mourning her sons, Johnny Bowling, Abdul Hemeed, William G. Bowling, Valerie Bowling (daughter), David Bowling, great grandson Calvin Bowling, and hosts of families and universal friends.
