Robin Maria Farmer-Bates was born to Brenda Butler in Camden, New Jersey on May 7th, 1967 as the youngest sister to 6 siblings. Robin grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Jane Adams High School in 1985. In 1997, Robin generously adopted the son of her late brother Londo Farmer. In 1999, she met Leonard Bates Sr. and soon became his wife on June 21st, 2001. Together, they built a happy life in University Heights, Ohio where she lived the remainder of her life. As a young adult Robin had a passion for modeling and enjoyed the theater. She always had a kind heart for animals of all types and would rescue animals in need until she could no longer house them. In her free time Robin enjoyed gardening and would harvest dozens of vegetables each year that she would share with those who were close to her. As an adult, Robin held occupations in many different fields and was a very active woman until her health prevented her from pursuing her passions. Being diagnosed with Type I Diabetes in her young years lead to many health complications as she continued through life; inevitably leading to her early departure from this world on March 10th, 2020 at the young age of 52 years old. Robin is remembered by her husband, Leonard Bates; her son, Londo Farmer - 24 years old; her mother Brenda Butler; her step-son, Leonard (Skip) Bates Jr.; her sisters, Michelle Farmer and Lisa Grant; and her brothers, Richard (Peter) Farmer and Michael Farmer.
