In Loving Memory of Nicole Denise Williams-Lee
March 13, 1974 - July 28, 2025
Nicole Denise Williams-Lee was born on March 13, 1974, to Margaret Williams in Cleveland, Ohio. She accepted Christ at an early age and was deeply committed to studying the Word of God, attending various churches throughout her life.
Nicole graduated from Middle College in Cleveland in June 1993 and went on to study at the University of Akron for several semesters. She worked in the healthcare industry for nearly two decades, primarily as a compassionate home health care provider.
In the summer of 1991, Nicole met the love of her life, Lavelle Lee Sr. Their loving and uniquely vibrant relationship blossomed over the years, culminating in marriage on May 22, 2010. From their union, they were blessed with two wonderful children: Lavelle Lee Jr. and London Lee.
Nicole had a lifelong passion for nail art. On July 3, 2012, she became certified in manicuring management by the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology, earning her nail technician/managerial license. This led to the creation of Kart'iel Designs LLC, through which she provided exceptional manicuring services and extravagant nail designs to her clients.
Inspired by HGTV, Nicole developed a love for home improvement and was unafraid to get her hands dirty-painting, cutting wood, sanding, staining, finishing floors and doors, and handling various construction tasks. She also enjoyed baking, crocheting, arts and crafts, music, Bible study, and spending quality time with her family.
Nicole was known for her strong, loving, and commanding presence. She never hesitated to speak her mind-whether in personal conversations or at community meetings. She became a matriarchal figure in both her family and community, generously giving her time, resources, and wisdom. She supported others with food, housing assistance, information, and heartfelt encouragement.
Despite her many responsibilities, Nicole cared for her ailing mother until her passing and helped care for her father-in-law until his death-all while maintaining a stable and loving household. One of her proudest moments was being asked by her husband and son to become a stay-at-home wife, a role she embraced wholeheartedly. Even so, she remained financially independent, continuing her nail business from home and launching Beautiful Black Love LLC, where she and her children sold handmade bracelets and other items.
Nicole joyfully celebrated her accomplishments-paying off two homes in under ten years, purchasing a fully loaded vehicle outright, and, above all, raising two intelligent, God-loving children.
In her final years, despite enduring severe physical pain, Nicole remained positive and continued helping others. She found joy in family Bible study and dedicated time to writing letters and sending extensive information to the United Nations and other global organizations advocating for reparations for Black American Descendants of Slaves.
Nicole departed this life on July 28, 2025. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother Damon Williams and her cherished mother, Margaret Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving husband, Lavelle Sr.; her devoted children, Lavelle Jr. and London; her siblings, Dwight, Dwayne, Anita, and Constance Williams; her favorite cousin, Rachelle "Denese" (Derrick) Jones; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, friends, and three beloved grandcats-Panther, Batman, and Smokey.
There are countless words that could describe Nicole, but above all, she was a virtuous woman-a true reflection of beauty, strength, and grace. Her unwavering love for the Most High God enriched her spirit and illuminated her soul. She hoped that everyone she encountered would come to know God, accept Christ as their personal Savior, and one day reunite with her in Heaven.
