Naomi Walker

Naomi Moore Thomas Walker was born June 7, 1927 to Stanton Thomas Sr. and Amanda M. Johnson of Lewisburg, Kentucky. She had three brothers, Alfred, Stanton and William, and one sister, Virginia.

She attended school in Lewisburg and was baptized at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Lewisburg. She belonged to New Concord Baptist Church in East Cleveland under Pastor Lorenzo Norris. She was the treasurer of the Missionary Society for many years. Naomi and her husband James Walker had one son, Victor.

Naomi worked for Cleveland Public Schools for twenty years. In her free time, she played piano and enjoyed sewing. She passed away July 19, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanton and Amanda, her siblings Alfred, Stanton, William, and Virginia, and her grandson Douglas.

Naomi's memory will be cherished by her son and his family, her sister-in-law, Hildreth Walker, along with many friends.
