With profound love and deep sorrow, we celebrate the life and legacy of Marilyn V. Green, who peacefully transitioned on December 3, 2025. Marilyn was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to the devoted parents Henry and Veola Green, who nurtured in her the values of faith, strength, and enduring love for family.
Marilyn was a woman of unwavering belief and bold character. Fearless in spirit and honest in word, she was known for speaking truth with a rare blend of conviction and compassion. Though she stood firm in who she was, her heart overflowed with generosity. She was the kind of woman who made sure no one left her presence unfed, unheard, or unloved. Her quick wit, infectious laughter, and willingness to give all she had made her a pillar in the lives of many.
Marilyn shared a beautiful and steadfast union with her beloved husband and soulmate, Calvin, with whom she built a home filled with faith, joy, and resilience. Their love story, marked by devotion and partnership, continues to thrive through the legacy of their children and all whose lives they touched.
She delighted in the simple joys of life - playing cards, cooking delicious meals, gathering with loved ones, and creating moments that became treasured memories. Her presence brought warmth and light into every room, and her humor, courage, and compassion left an imprint on every heart she encountered.
Marilyn leaves to cherish her memory her mom veola. And her loving children: Keionna (Ronald), Calvin, and Henry. She is also remembered with love by her siblings, Stacy and Henry; her cherished nieces and nephews, William, Stacy, Aisha, and Charles; along with a host of great-grandchildren, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and extended family who held her dear.
Though her earthly journey has come to a close, Marilyn's legacy of love, strength, honesty, and generosity will continue to shine through the lives of all who knew her. Her spirit lives on in every memory shared, every laugh echoed, and every act of kindness done in her honor.
