Lorraine Gant Hill was born on April 15, 1939, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From the beginning, she carried a strong, vibrant spirit. She was a woman who stood firmly in who she was, with fiery independence and a heart full of love. Lorraine was a force: stern when she needed to be, feisty in all the right ways, but also sweet, caring, and full of personality. She lived boldly and loved deeply.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her late husband, Clinton Hill Jr., who passed away in 2012. Their life together shaped much of the strength and resilience she carried forward.

Her early years in nursing shaped much of who she became. Lorraine cared for others with a steady hand and a compassionate heart. She was tough enough to handle anything, yet gentle enough to make people feel safe and supported. That rare balance defined her.

Lorraine was a devoted mother to Michael Carpenter and Michele Wilcox. She was also blessed with 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored and happily spoiled every chance she could. She made sure they always felt loved and special.

In her later years, she shared a loving and loyal companionship with her boyfriend, Greg, who brought warmth, joy, and laughter into her life. Together, they created memories grounded in love, trust, and devotion.

Lorraine lived life with strength, honesty, and heart. Her presence was unforgettable, her love undeniable, and her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
