LaSandra Denise Sanders gained her wings on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, at the tender age of 50. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on September 17, 1975, to Vickie Leggett and Andrew Hatcher Jr. She and her brother, Shawn, were raised in Cleveland, Ohio, and grew up attending church with their family and grandparents.

She was a 1993 graduate of South High School, where she played basketball for four years. She loved the game and was one of the best on the team. LaSandra furthered her education at The University of Akron before embarking on a distinguished career at MBNA Bank (now Bank of America). Over nearly 30 years of loyal service, she rose to the level of Bank Executive, most recently serving as an Advisor Development Program Market Leader for Merrill Lynch.

LaSandra was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Diane Leggett, and her godbrother, Michael Jones. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Sean Sanders and Ryan Sanders; mother, Vickie Leggett; father, Andrew Hatcher Jr.; loving grandparents, Sadie and Andrew Hatcher Sr.; and brother, Deryl (Shawn) Leggett; half-siblings, Angela Hatcher, Andrew Hatcher III, and De'Shante Miller; godmother, Bonita Haller; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

LaSandra lived and loved each day to the fullest. Among her many joys in life that kept her smiling were loving on her boys, traveling to different countries, cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends. LaSandra was a devoted and loving mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. She will be deeply missed by us all.
