Johnnie Williams was born on February 5, 1936, in Pace, Mississippi, to the late Blanchie and Bessie Fletcher-Williams. He accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age.
Johnnie was united in holy matrimony to the late Marie Jones. He was preceded in death by his brother OV Murray, bonus granddaughter Pam Redd, and great-granddaughter Asti Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memory four brothers: W.M. Williams of North Carolina, P.C. Williams (Michelle) of Cleveland, Ohio, Dennis Williams of Cleveland, Ohio, and James Williams (Vera) of Eupora, Mississippi; two sisters: Rosie Blair of Cleveland, Ohio, and Ruthie W. Hall of Pace, Mississippi. He is also survived by his bonus daughter Doris Smith of Cleveland, Ohio; several bonus grandchildren-Terry, Rita, and Kim; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Johnnie was an avid baseball fan who enjoyed watching games whenever he could. He also held strong political views and loved engaging in thoughtful discussions about current events and politics.
