John Lewis Clemons III was born on May 25, 1964, in Cleveland, Ohio, the second child of John Lewis Clemons Jr. and Mary Louise Clemons (Moore). He passed away on November 4, 2025, at the age of 61 from natural causes. He is a retired disabled United States Marine Corps veteran.
John moved to California with his family at a young age and was raised in the Los Angeles area. John attended school in both Cleveland and in California. He began high school at Crenshaw High School and graduated from Nogales High School in La Puente, California in June 1982. He attended college at the College of the Sequoias. He immediately enlisted into the military where he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, achieving the rank of Lance Corporal E3. During this tenure, John was appointed to serve on the Presidential Helicopter Squadron for President Ronald Reagan. He later became certified in the water treatment field, where he quickly excelled to the administrative level. He is credited in saving millions of dollars for the counties and citizens that he served.
John was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ into his life as a young man. He spent many years sharing God's Word, and ministering to the community. He enjoyed officiating and coaching football and working with the community youth. He loved animals, especially dogs. His favorite place was Pismo Beach, California, where he spent many years enjoying the beauty of nature.
John is survived by his beloved daughter and son-n-law, Brittney and Lorenzo Caminiti, grandson, Theodore (Teo), brother, Michael Clemons Sr., sisters, Johnitta and Deborah., companion, Sharon, aunt, Lorean Moore, uncle, LC Brock. many cousins, nephews, nieces, extended family members and friends, who will forever cherish is memory.
John will be remembered for his commitment to both his family and his work, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew him.
