George Wallace Sr. was born to Ada Wallace (Johnson) and Wade Hampton Wallace Sr. in Columbia, South Carolina, October 07, 1940, and later moved to Cleveland, Ohio.
George Sr. grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where he completed his lower secondary education and upper secondary education at Marshall and Glenville High Schools, later receiving his General Education Development Diploma. He studied at Griswold Technical Institute and later obtained his Associates of Arts Degree from Cuyahoga Community College in 1975.
George Sr. served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 until his honorable discharge. In 1959, he married Annie Wallace in Luverne, Minnesota and from this union George Sr. and Annie were blessed with two children.
George Sr.'s work history spans from painting to computer repair to business owner. After leaving the U.S Air Force June of 1962 he went on to work for General Motors Corporation as a spray painter, Field Service Technician at Xerox Corporation, Computer Technician at Digital Equipment Corporation, Computer Repair Technician at Wizard Computer Services. George Sr. was an entrepreneur at heart; Realtor, Notary Public, and lastly retiring as Owner/President at Young Futures Child Care Center in 2010.
George Sr. was a jack of all trades; he had many self-taught skills. He enjoyed mathematics, electronics and working with his hands. There was not a task that he was not willing to take on, he repaired TV's, electronic devices of all types, and in 1968, he built his first Color TV.
George Sr. enjoyed art; drawing, painting, photography, creating family videos and slideshows and listening to music and most of all he enjoyed family and friends.
George Sr. was called home after a short hospital stay at University of Toledo Medical Center at 3:15am on Friday October 6, 2023.

George Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, and his lifelong love, Annie Wallace.
George Wallace Sr. leaves to cherish memory and legacy: his loving children, George Jr., Yvonne, Quinton, granddaughter Ashley. Five siblings: Wade Jr, Gary, Melvin, Carol (Anthony) McCray, Edward and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and his best dog Blake.
