Fredrick
Moss
Aug 18, 1957 — Jul 12, 2026
Fredrick Moss was born on August 18, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Benny Moss and Ruby Moss. He grew up alongside his eight siblings: B.J. Johnson, John Henry, Linda, Gloria, Cornell, Teresa, Stanley, and Phillip.
Fredrick attended East High School, where he met the love of his life, Dorine Brownlee. While in high school, he ran cross-country and track and wrestled. He later received his certificate in welding from Ohio Technical College.
Fredrick and Dorine were united in marriage on August 15, 1981. They were blessed with three children: Ne'Tasha, married to Ronald Jackson; Nickolas, married to Jamisha Walker; and Nicole. Fredrick was also the proud grandfather of eight grandchildren: Ronald Jr., Noah, Shawn, Jade, Nas, Christian, Zion, and Navy.
They gave their lives to Christ in 1992 at Full Gospel Evangelistic Center (F.G.E.C.), where they were dedicated members of the congregation. They served in several ministries, including the hospitality team, altar call ministry, and as deacon and deaconess, before becoming head deacon and deaconess and serving as armor bearers. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around love, family, faith, and lasting memories.
Fredrick was a dedicated and hardworking man. He was a certified welder at a number of companies in Northeast Ohio, including American Tank & Fabricating, Cres Cor, Manitowoc, and Tiger. His commitment to providing for his family was reflected in his strong work ethic and dependable nature.
Fredrick enjoyed watching sports and was a true Cleveland sports fan. His favorite teams were the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Cleveland Guardians. You could always catch Fred with his dog, Maximus, at a concert or other event, or traveling.
He will be remembered for his humor and for always making someone laugh or smile. Fred was a father figure to all of his children's friends. He was always nurturing and encouraging others, even in short encounters. He was known for his humor, strength, generosity, wisdom, loyalty, kindness, and love for his family. He especially treasured the time he spent with his children and grandchildren and took pride in watching his family grow.
Fredrick was preceded in death by his "Darling," Dorine Moss; his parents, Benny Moss and Ruby Moss; his siblings John, Linda, Gloria, and Stanley; and his sister-in-law, Robin Fields (Brownlee).
He leaves behind his three children, Ne'Tasha Jackson, Nickolas Moss, and Nicole Moss; his eight grandchildren, Ronald Jr., Noah, Shawn, Jade, Nas, Christian, Zion, and Navy; his siblings, B.J., Cornell and his wife, Debra, Teresa, and Phillip and his wife, Lisa; his dog, Maximus; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Fredrick Moss will be deeply missed, but the love, strength, and memories he gave his family will remain in their hearts forever.
