Obituary for Ethel Frances Stone Iverson
Ethel Frances Stone Iverson was born on February 15, 1941, in Macon, Georgia to the late Jessie Pearl Banks and Tommy Shaw. In 1958, she relocated to Cleveland, Ohio, where she later united in marriage with Victor Iverson Sr. on June 6, 1959.
Ethel was a proud graduate of East Tech High School. She accepted Christ at an early age and remained rooted in her faith throughout her life. She enjoyed a long and fulfilling career at Cleveland Bottle & Supply Company, where she dedicated forty years of service before retiring.
A woman of many passions, Ethel found joy in sewing, playing bingo, pochino, completing crossword puzzles, dancing, and spending cherished time with her children. She had a deep appreciation for music and was an enthusiastic fan of Friday night WWE wrestling. Ethel also loved to travel and embrace the joys of life. Her greatest happiness came from being with her grandchildren, and she was known for her affection toward animals.
Ethel was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Victor Iverson Sr.; her dear daughter, Elizabeth Iverson; and her devoted mother, Jessie Pearl Banks.
She leaves to celebrate her life and preserve her legacy: her loving daughters, Delores Iverson Campbell (Reginald) and Minnie Iverson Tye (James); her son, Victor Iverson Jr.; two devoted sisters-in-law, Mamie Spoon of Tuskegee, Alabama and Lettie Bailey of Cleveland, Ohio; six adored grandchildren-Lakesha, Tameka, Shavonna, Tequisha, Jeffrey, and Kelsey; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and treasured friends.
Ethel Frances Stone Iverson's warmth, strength, and love will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
