In Loving Memory of Errica Elaine Bradford
"Our Pride & Joy"
A servant's heart and resilient spirit, Errica's life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse,
Phil 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Errica Elaine Bradford, age 38, affectionately known to her mother as her Pride and Joy, and to her family as "Tika", transitioned to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 30, 2024. Errica was born November 10, 1985, in Cleveland Ohio, to Eric L. Reid and Ivy D. Bradford. At the tender age of nine, she moved to Tuskegee, Alabama, where she was raised. Errica graduated with honors from Booker T. Washington High School in 2004, where among the highlights of her childhood were making the varsity cheerleading team and forming lifelong friendships within the high school group, PG13.
A graduate of Troy University with a B.S. in Biology, Errica worked various jobs throughout her life, including serving as a spokeswoman for DARE. During her time at Troy, she pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Nu Theta Chapter, and served as the chapter president.
An aspiring Phlebotomist [Studies at Central Piedmont Community College, Charlotte NC], in the final years of her life, Errica worked as a Coaching Lead for the American Red Cross, a position she considered to be her most fulfilling job.
In 2012, Errica moved to Tucson, Arizona, where she worked for Afni. During that time, she bravely battled lupus and eventually moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, to be near her mother. Although Errica cherished her mother, sister and best friend, Domonique, and her twin niece and nephew, being an aunt was precious to Errica "TT," a role that gave her much pride and joy. The life of the party, Errica loved sports, and had a competitive nature, her biggest rivalry being her dad. Roll Tide! Lastly, but not least, Errica loved her Auntie Gina and would often say that "no one knew her best!"
Errica received Christ at a young age, and was, in her own way, an Evangelist for Christ, spreading The Gospel with everyone she encountered. A fortitudinous woman of GOD, and empath to the core, Errica wanted to save everyone, often taking food from the house to feed the homeless, exclaiming, "Ma you have money, you can buy more." Errica exuded a charismatic spirit, loved and was loved by her family, friends, sorority sisters, and coworkers.
Errica fought a good fight and now she's dancing to Stevie Wonder's 'Joy Inside My Tears', the song her Mother sang to her. She is survived by her mother, Ivy, her father, Eric, her sister Domonique, two brothers, Eric and DeVaughn, her twin niece and nephew Aria Brielle and Benjamin James. Too numerous to mention, but just as precious, are many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Heaven has gained an awe-inspiring spirit.
Lovingly Submitted,
The Family
