Dwayne Lamont Alexander

Dwayne Lamont Alexander was born on November 18, 1965, to Linda D. Alexander and Clifford Alfred (who preceded him in death). Dwayne attended William Patrick Day and later earned his GED. He dedicated over 40 years of his life working at S.A.W., a place he truly loved. Dwayne took pride in working hard and earning his own way.

When he wasn't at work, Dwayne could often be found sitting on his front porch, enjoying conversation with neighbors and passersby. To him, no one was ever a stranger; he welcomed everyone with kindness and familiarity. Affectionately known as "Ducky," he had a deep love for music and went through many CD players, radios, and boom boxes, always keeping a soundtrack to his life close by.

Dwayne passed away peacefully in his sleep at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earle Mae and Francis Stewart; his aunt, Elna Carter; his uncle, Francis Stewart III; his sister, Beth Alexander; and his stepfather, Darnel Cook.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Linda; his brother, Toriono; his stepsister, Marcie Cook; beloved niece, Linda, affectionately known as "Poohkiss"; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
