In Loving Memory of Diane Spells

Our beloved Diane Spells peacefully departed this life on September 13, 2025, after a brief illness. Diane was born on May 27, 1952, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Ethel Mae Campbell and the late Robert Wilkes.

After graduating from high school, Diane married the late Michael Spells. From this union came two beautiful children, Mandel and Shemalle, who were the joy of her life.

Diane dedicated many years of service to the Cleveland Municipal School District. Even through her illness, she continued to share her trademark warmth and that infectious smile everyone knew and loved.

She was a woman full of life and joy. Diane loved to dance, skate, bowl, cook, clean, and-above all else-spend time with her family. Her energy, laughter, and caring spirit will always be remembered.

Diane was preceded in death by her mother Ethel Mae Campbell, her father Robert Wilkes, and her sister Geneva Phillips. She leaves to cherish her memory her sisters Jacqueline, Gwendolyn, and Ruby; her brothers John, Donnie, and Michael; her children Mandel, Shemalle, and Shawn; her grandchildren Ashley, Andrew, Shyanne, Andre, and Aaron; and her great-grandchildren Aubrey and Khash.

Diane's legacy of love, faith, and family lives on in all who knew her.
