Clifford Andre
McCadden
January 4, 1949 – May 5, 2026
Watson's Funeral Home
9:00 am - 5:00 pm (Eastern time)
Clifford Andre McCadden, born January 14, 1949, was the beloved son of Mentlow and Pauline McCadden and the oldest of six siblings. A proud member of the East Tech High School Class of 1969, Andre was young at heart, independent, and never allowed his disability to define him. He lived life with strength and determination, accomplishing many of the same things people without disabilities strive to do.
Andre was always full of life at every family reunion and gathering. He loved Edgewater Park, reading novels, crossword puzzles, collecting elephants, and sending his signature thumbs up 👍. An avid chess player, he enjoyed playing with friends and family. He also loved soft jazz and faithfully watched his beloved Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes football games. Rather than listening to the "talking heads," Andre preferred relaxing with jazz music and football.
He took his "Uncle-ship" seriously and lovingly reminded his nieces and nephews that he was the oldest out of their parents. To Andre, friends became family, and he never forgot a birthday or missed a chance to check on those he loved.
"They that love beyond the world cannot be separated by it. Death cannot kill what never dies.
Nor can spirits ever be divided, that love and live in the same divine principle, the root and record of their friendship... If we meet not in this life, we'll meet in another."
He will be truly missed. Get your rest, Andre.
