Cleophus Jones

Cleophus Jones was born on May 9, 1955, in Gadsden, Alabama to Cleveland Jones Jr, and Frances L. Jones-Downings. On August 19, 2023, Cleophus Jones was called home to rest in peace after a long battle and complications from being sick.

Cleophus is preceded in death by his wife, Tommy M. Jones; parents, Cleveland, and Frances; and older brother, Robert James "Peanut" Hawkins Jr.

Cleophus is survived by his sister, Cynthia L. Davis; sister, best friend, and caregiver, Kimberle Jones; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Cleophus loved to listen to music and play chess. Cleophus was well known for his caring heart and love for others. He enjoyed spending time counseling, mentoring, and encouraging anyone that had a need. Cleophus will surely be missed and forever in our hearts.
