Clement Allen Coleman, lovingly known as 'Poppa', was born to the union of J.C. Coleman and Elizabeth Coleman on April 2, 1960, in Pensacola, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Poppa moved to Cleveland, Ohio at the age of 9 and attended East Cleveland city schools. He graduated from Shaw High School in 1978. He enlisted into the U.S. Army in 1979 and was discharged in 1982. Poppa worked for Gray Drug before becoming an entrepreneur. He worked in several auto body shops and was a longtime partner with Mike Harwell and Anthony Brooks. His last endeavor was as sole owner of Adams Kustom's and Detailing. He was well known for his awesome painting skills and attention to detail. In the business world, he was known by many as 'Unc.'
Poppa was united in holy matrimony to Yvette Sterrett on June 26, 1998. He was a devoted family man, and words cannot express his love and dedication to his family. His hobbies included grilling, attending car shows, traveling and simply spending time with his family. He was excited about celebrating on his favorite holiday, July 4th. He was a man of few words and a confidante to many. He truly loved people. Poppa had several adopted children who looked up to him as a father.
Poppa was a true servant of God and was a faithful member of End Times Ministry of Deliverance. He served as a Minister, board member, man of valor, and in any other capacity where there was a need. Poppa was a very reverent man who loved the Lord. He was an extraordinarily strong yet loving person who lived the example of God's love. So much so that his first and only sermon was titled, 'Love the Hell Out of Them!'
The Lord, in His infinite wisdom, called home His beloved son, Minister Clement Coleman, on Saturday, June 15, 2024. Poppa will forever be remembered and missed by his wife, Yvette; children, Erica, Krystle, and Keiona; beloved granddaughter, Kacie; his siblings, Areatha Numa of Maryland, Deidre (Carl) Sanders, and LeShonda Thomas (cousin - raised as sister). He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends, and a church family that loved and adored him. He was truly 'POPPA' to many!
