Charmain Darden

November 12, 1982 — May 7, 2025

Charmain Darden was born on November 12, 1982, at MetroHealth Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the beloved firstborn child of the late Cecil Darden and Venetta E. Darden (Payne). Charmain spent her formative years on 105th Street in the Glenville neighborhood, where she and her younger sister, Amber, immersed themselves in youth programs and community initiatives. The sisters were inseparable-encouraging one another, sharing dreams, and developing a deep love for family, faith, and service to others.

Charmain began her educational journey at Miles Standish Elementary School and proudly graduated from Glenville High School in 2002. At age 19, she embraced motherhood with the birth of her beautiful daughter, Anijjah Moore. On February 15, 2015, she married Derek Weaver.

Throughout her career, Charmain held several positions in the financial services industry, earning a reputation for diligence and integrity. Never one to shy away from a challenge, she pursued vocational training and earned her Commercial Driver's License (CDL), demonstrating her fearless spirit and commitment to personal growth. Ultimately, her passion for finance led her back to the field, and she was most recently employed with the Accurate Group in Independence, Ohio, where she dedicated three years of excellence and professionalism.

Charmain confessed Christ at an early age and rededicated her life to the Lord in 2022. She served at various ministries in the Greater Cleveland area, singing in the choir at New Spirit Revival Center under Pastors Daryl and Belinda Scott, and on the Worship Team at BreakOut Church under Prophet Michael David Watson. She also participated in intercessory prayer at Selah Ministries of Northeast Ohio with Minister Kendra Anderson, and Field of Dreams Harvest Ministries in Erie, PA, under Apostle Anita McCoy. Charmain was deeply loved and respected for her heart to minister to others.

She found peace in nurturing her plants and flowers, filling her home with life and beauty. A true green thumb, she took joy in watching things grow and bloom. Traveling also brought her great delight-from the sun-soaked shores of Mexico to the breathtaking landscapes of Hawaii, Charmain embraced every journey with gratitude and joy.

She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Darden, and her grandparents, Leonard and Ernestine Payne.

Charmain departed this life suddenly on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Anijjah Moore; her mother, Venetta E. Darden; her sister, Amber Darden; aunties, Catherine Robinson and Dovie Smith (Michael); Willie Moore, father of Anijjah; significant other, Jathan Graham; and a host of cousins, relatives, dear friends, and coworkers.

Though her time on Earth was far too short, Charmain's light, love, and legacy will live on through every life she touched and every heart that carries her memory forward.
