Ashley King

Ashley Renee King was born on August 8, 1991, the beloved daughter of Tangie Lewis and Darthil Mathews. She accepted Christ at a very young age and found joy in volunteering at the church food bank, studying the Word of God, and journaling, which became her life's passion. Ashley attended and graduated from South High School in 2010.

Despite many challenges and struggles, she remained strong in her faith and belief in God. She deeply loved her family and had a generous, giving heart. Her radiant smile could light up any room, and her loud, high-pitched laugh often caused others to laugh along with her.

Ashley later reunited with her high school sweetheart, Monte King, and they were united in marriage on December 15, 2017. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Monte King; five children: Leslie, Alaya, twins Christian and Christina, and Cattalaya; her siblings, Darthil Mathews Jr., Dominique Mathews, and Damion Mathews; and her grandmother, Wanda Allen (Charles Allen). She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will remember her with love.
