In Loving Memory of Alberta Williams
January 12, 1951 - June 5, 2025
Alberta was born January 12, 1951, to Leroy Tabb Sr, and Alberta Acoff in Browns, Alabama, a rural community in Dallas County. Alberta was the 11th of 12 children, all of whom accepted Christ at an early age.
Being very family oriented, Alberta loved to spend time with her family whether it was a special occasion or a random Tuesday. She was a lover of all sports, frequently gathering with her siblings around the TV to watch "Her" sports. If you knew Alberta, then you knew those teams were hers and she was the coach.
Alberta loved to bowl, winning several trophies competing in bowling tournaments. She was also a great card player frequently gathering at her sister ToBoo's house to start up a good game with her brothers, nieces, nephews, and family & Friends.
Alberta moved to Cleveland, Ohio as a teenager with her father and siblings for greater opportunities both financial gain and with educational opportunities. She was still in high school, so she completed both her junior and senior year at Glenville High School.
It was during that time she met the love of her life, Jerome Williams. They went on to have two beautiful children who they absolutely adored: Kenny Tabb (born Dec. 1969) and Velesia Tabb (born Oct. 1972). In 1975, Alberta and Jerome got married and during the course of their marriage, their love for each other was unwavering.
Alberta was gainfully employed retiring from Silverman's in 2015. Following retirement, she committed her time and energy to her family, a role she cherished most.
Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy Tabb Sr. and Alberta Tabb; siblings James, Leroy Jr., Rosa Lee, William Luke, Sylvester, Felix, Mariah, Kenneth, and Samuel; her husband, Jerome Williams; and her daughter, Velesia Tabb.
Alberta leaves to treasure her memory: two brothers, Joe (Marva), and Roosevelt (Marion); one son, Kenny (Jan); grandchildren, Brianna, Brandon, Sidnei, and Christian; two great grandchildren (who Alberta adored), Gianni, and Keoni; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever honor her legacy of love, faith, and devotion.
Lovingly Submitted,
