Alberta Martin Drake

Alberta Martin Drake was born June 9, 1945, to Lawrence and Christine Martin in Eckman, W.Va.

She received Christ as her Lord and Savior. She married Robert Drake September 2, 1973, who preceded her in death. She attended Bethel A.M.E. Zion Church. Later she chose New Vision Christian Church Center to continue her work in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Noel Vaughn.

Alberta was a devout and faithful servant of the Lord. She served as an intercessory prayer warrior with Women Aglow, was part of the seniors ministry, singles ministry, and many other facets of service to others.

Alberta departed this life on Saturday, October 03, 2026. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Priscilla; three grandchildren, Ray, whom she raised from birth, Tiante, and Shanel; seven sisters, Elizabeth Clemons, Rosetta Mangum (Rudy), Kimball, W.Va.; Alice London (Spencer), Palmdale, Calif.; Dana Martin, Yonkers, N.Y.; Brenda J. Martin, Columbus, Ohio; Charlene Gamble (Jeffrey), Worth, W.Va.; Deborah Renee; three brothers, Billy Martin, Welch, W.Va.; James Martin, Yonkers, N.Y.; and Nathaniel Martin, Inglewood, Calif.; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Proverbs 31:30-31:

"Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates."
