Kim Renee Taylor-Edwards entered this world on May 15, 1967, in Cleveland, Ohio to the union of Janie Taylor and Richard Taylor (who presided her in death). Kim was the second oldest of four children. Kim grew up on St. Clair where she gained many lifetime friendships. Kim attended Cleveland Public schools. She graduated from Jane Adams in May of 1985.
Kim was blessed with a personality and spirit that lifted everyone when she entered the room. Her presence brought a lot of joy and laughter. She enjoyed cooking, decorating her home, and hosting gatherings for friends and family. Everywhere she went she took her beloved dog Brownie. Caring for the elderly and others in need was her passion. She worked as a caretaker, a marketing liaison, a supervisor, and was a founding member of Harris Homecare. Kim supported many people who often looked to her for life advice and wisdom. She spent most of her free time volunteering with many agencies such as Volunteers of America. Kim was a hands-on person; she was more than just words. She put actions with her words. Those who were blessed by her encouragement know that Kim was a phenomenal woman and so much more.
In 1996, Kim met and fell in love with Frankie Edwards. On July 17, 1999, she married the absolute love of her life. They shared life's trails and triumphs. Together they built a happy life. She was a devoted and attentive wife for over 25 years. Kim was his rock backbone and biggest supporter until the end.
Kim was a beloved wife, mother grandmother daughter, sister, and friend. Kim memory will live on within Frankie Edwards (husband), late Richard Taylor (father), Janie Taylor (mother), Danielle Adams, Antonio Adams (Unique), and Wendell Edwards (children), Theresa (Jamal) Brown (goddaughter), Jennifer Jackson (Derek), Carol Taylor, and Kenneth (Christine) Taylor (siblings); Davell, Iyana, Christain, Braylon, Dylan, Daylin, Avion, and Teagan (grandchildren); and a host of family and friends.
We all can take great peace and joy in knowing that she is reunited with her loving dad Richard Taylor.
