James Flood Obituary

James Flood, better known as "Head", was tragically taken from this world on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. James was the second born son to Cheryl C. Flood, and William Flood Sr. on September 04, 1976. He grew up in the Rozelle and Arlington neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. James was a very intelligent man; he had a passion for drawing and working with electronics, especially setting up sound systems.

James loved to be the center of attention and make people laugh with his jokes. He was the comedian of the family! We used to watch him engage in roasting sessions with his friends, with him winning almost every battle. One of James' dream jobs was to be a stand-up comedian, and I promise you, he would have been able to share the stage with some of the biggest names in show business, including Eddie Murphy, Martin Lawrence, Richard Pryor, or Red Fox.

At times, life was very challenging for James, especially his younger days. Those challenges shaped him into the man he became, a loving father, brother, son, and best friend.

At 30, James had his first child, a daughter, Trinitei Flood. This was the happiest time of his life when his daughter was born, his precious jewel. His daughter sparked a growth in James that motivated him to do more for his little girl. James applied as a Bus Driver with RTA. The exams he had to take made James very nervous and anxious but his siblings reminded him that he was a book worm, and he was going to pass those tests. And he did just that! This was another proud moment for James and a blessing. Later that year he was blessed with the birth of his son, Khazari Naosir Austin Flood.

We had a full house. Growing up in a household of seven kids was a challenge, but we loved each other very much. Each sibling has a special bond with each other, and our relationships grew stronger as we grew older. James loved his family, and his energy and ability to make anyone laugh will be truly missed.

James leaves cherished memories with his mother, Cheryl Flood; two beautiful children, daughter, Trinitei Flood, and son, Khazari Naosir Austin Flood; seven siblings, and four in-laws, Gwen (Tyrell) Smith-Flood, Everette Flood (Theresa Flood), Deirdre Flood known as "Cutie", Patrice Flood (James Ballard), Candace C. Flood, Jason Flood (Erica Flood), and William Flood Jr; 18 nieces and nephews; six Aunties; one Uncle; a host of cousins, and other relatives and friends and friends who loved him dearly.

James was preceded in death by his father, William Flood Sr.; cousin/brother, Gino Martin; two grandmothers; and two uncles.

We love you Head, and we will miss your laughter and sense of humor. You are flying high with Daddy and Big Cousin Gino, watching down on us as our strongest angels! R.I.H.P
